Race Day

Location

The Bolton Blast takes place around:
Turton Sports Centre

Parking

Parking is limited within the sports centre, however there is street parking around the site. Please allow yourself plenty of time to park. There will be sign posts directing competitors to additional car parking.

Registration

Registration will take place from 1pm in the school on race day. Further details will be available in the final race brief which will be available on race week.

Poolside

Once changed and ready to race competitors should proceed to the pool side via the changing rooms. Here they will have their race number written on both right arm and right thigh.

 

Once marked up, competitors will be seated along the edge of the pool in race number order. Competitors must be on pool side 15 minutes before their start time. Once assembled each swim wave will be given a final race briefing where they will be advised of any last minute changes to the route and issued with a swim hat.

 

Approximately 2 minutes before their start time competitors will be taken to their swim lane.

The presentation

The presentation ceremony will take place inside the sports centre. The presentation will take place once the final competitor finishes the event. The presentation for the relays will also take inside the sports centre. Please listen for announcements as to the timings for the prize giving.
